Research about monuments in public space in Amsterdam, focusing on the spatial, performative and the ritualistic value of the public space. The underlying themes of interest are performativity of neo-colonialism, race and gender in public space.

An on-going interdisciplinary research in which visual art is regarded primarily in the context of space, text and politics of signifiers of power.
