Game Over could be seen as a 'coming of age-quest', in a self-absorbed and youth-obsessed age.
Gender identity, childhood era and in-between moments are some of the issues Game Over addresses. Video games, media frenzy, plastic toys "made in China", identity crisis in Europe and contemporary Japanese art are inspiration-food for Game Over series.
A child-animal-alien-like character named 'Sledgy'- ambiguously gendered, appears on canvas alone, in 'clinic' or abstract environment. Short texts in dialogue balloons or toy-like objects, are mostly the only elements surrounding Sledgy, who gives the spectator a probing gaze.
